01 — The Context: Legacy Fragmentation
Weatherford manages a massive portfolio of digital products used across global industrial operations. Historically, these tools were built in silos by different teams. This led to a fragmented ecosystem where no two tools looked or behaved the same, creating a steep learning curve for operators.
02 — The Problem: The Cost of Inconsistency
The lack of a unified UI wasn't just an aesthetic issue—it was a strategic liability.
User Friction: Operators moving between tools faced high cognitive load due to conflicting interaction patterns.
Dev Debt: Engineering teams were reinventing basic components (buttons, inputs, calendars) for every new project.
Brand Erosion: The fragmented experience diminished user trust in the platform’s reliability.
03 — The Solution: One Weatherford UI
We launched a comprehensive Enterprise Design System to serve as the single source of truth for all digital products. My role focused on moving beyond a simple "UI Kit" to create a system of behavioral standards.
